Maui dolphin: by Matheus

Learning Intention: I am writing a report.
Success Criteria: I am successful when I write a report about Maui dolphins.

Maui dolphins are mammals.They are warm blooded.

Maui dolphins have grey skin and white and black markings. They have round dorsal fin on there back. They have a short snout. 

Males are smaller than the females. 

Maui dolphins use their tails to help them swim. They have fins to help them balance. 

Maui dolphins eat small fish and small squid. 
They look for food near the surface. They also eat jellyfish and small octopuses.


There are 55 Maui dolphins left.
Maui dolphins can be found in the ocean of the West Coast of New Zealand's North island.
